    This fundraiser will benefit

    Krishna Mal

    from Howrah, West Bengal

Krishna Mal, age 58, who owns a garage today, after spending many difficult chapters of his life. He was fatherless at the age of only 15 years. His father was a motor mechanic, a daily worker in a car repair shop. One day while working, he suddenly died in a car crash. He was the only earning member of his family. Upon his sudden death, the family's economic condition became worse.
The car factory owner usually give some damage, but that doesn't last long. Due to constraint, Krishna's mother started working in various houses as a house maid, Krishna had to leave school and go to work. Even if he wished he had not studied any more.
Later, while working as a garage employee, He met many others whose life stories resemble like him. Today, at the age of 58, even after becoming a garage owner from a garage employee, Krishna sees that the situation has not changed.

Problem statement:
1. In unorganized cases, if a Daily Labor dies during work, gets sick, lapses in an accident, and can't work, at that time, his family was in the midst of an economic crisis. Most of the time, the wife of the deceased labor started working in different homes, the children also left school and they started working. In this way as the child laborers are created, the lack of education often puts the needy adolescent, boy/ girl on the road to earning money through drug paddling or other antisocial work.

2. Many times the family head leave their children and 1st wife and get married and move to other places. At that time, the first wife and her children got into a lot of trouble. The kids have to leave school. The woman has to work as a maid for money. Sometimes they become sex workers for money.

Approach of way out:
Krishna Mal has grown in his own life in the midst of such an economic crisis. Now at his age of 58, he has started working for those families who are going through with financial hardship. Krishna Mal has therefore chosen the first 60 families in his region to be in the midst of such economic hardship. Families were those where the family head was the only earning member and that head had died or left. Krishna want to build a self-help team. Teams will be formed with 6 people who will all be given tailoring training. After the training, production will be done with 9 groups and one group will check quality.
If the scheme goes well, then every family in the area who works as a Daily Labor will be covered under this project. This project of alternative income will be successful only if the community is actively helping Krishna Mal in a conscious area.
