My Family is severely affected with pandemic Covid-19.
I am residing in a village (Rajam, Srikakulam Distt) with my dependent parents and sister. My father, mother and myself were affected by COVID from 18 April 2021. My father was worst affected and had to be admitted to RIMS Srikakulam Hospital on 24 April 2021 as CT scan report showed that his lungs were infected 50% and had to be kept on oxygen ventilator.
By god’s grace with lot of pain My Mother and I got recovered and my father also got discharged after improving in SpO2 levels on 12th May 2021.
My father condition is not good post discharge. He has lost his weight nearly 15kgs and has high spikes of sugar levels(300) daily.
He also developed facial pain on the left side of his nose, and he took medication as suggested by local doctor. He slowly developed cyst at the same place. On MRI scan report secondary acute Mucormycosis(Black Fungus) detected, and doctor suggested for Immediate surgery in Vishakhapatnam as these facilities are not available nearby.
Am already shattered with financial and mental stress. And I called all my family members , relatives and friends and asked for financial help. As doctor confirmed for surgery only it costs Rs 1.1 Lacs and also post-surgery ICU Admission Charges are Rs.25,000/ per day. As no other hospital is doing the surgery. I also enquired in government hospital, but they are not doing any surgeries, they are only giving medication. And MRI Scan report stated acute Mucormycosis, leaving the fungus may affect the eyes and brain causing death.
I Admitted my father in SAGARA DURGA HOSPITAL, Vishakhapatnam on 30th May 2021 at 5PM.On 31st May 2021 doctor performed surgery which took 5 hours for removal of all fungal affected area,
Post which doctors prescribed INJECTIONS daily in quantity of 6 vials for 15 days or more as if required.
On 1st June 2021 I have taken the caspofungvin-50 mg Qty 10 (each vial 5,000-attached receipt)
On 2nd June 2021 prescribed Liposomal Amphoercitin-B injections are not available anywhere and bought at high price with each vial for Rs.10,000/ (costing 60,000 /-)
Government of Andhra Pradesh is supplying these medicines in a limited quantity as I cannot bear the high market prices
On 3rd June 2021 i have brought these medicines from Government Channel by giving DD of amounting Rs 34,725/-.
On 4th June government is also out of stock, I had borrowed money from friends and bought them again in overpriced market (Rs 60,000).
On 5th I got medicines from Government process with DD amount Rs 30,000/-.
On 6th, Government Channel has not provided any Injections and buying them in aftermarket(Rs 60,000) is expensive.
Up to now, I have already spent almost 4 Lacs. All this money is from friends and relatives. Expected future expenditure is at least 3 Lacs more just for medicines/injections and hospital discharge process.
In this crucial situation, any Financial support will help me and my family to a great extent.
Thank you in advance.
