This fundraiser is for my professor from college who teaches in the department of ECE. He is 47 years old and is a father to two children who are both currently pursuing B.tech. He is the only earning member in his family. From his perspective, it is difficult to provide education to two children and when cancer came into the picture, it drained him of all his life's savings. He was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in the second stage. He has spent nearly 25 lakhs to have the tumor removed and he still needs money for further treatments which include chemotherapy. His response towards chemotherapy has been great and it would really help him & his family if he were to get further financial support. It would cost him another 20 lakhs for the required treatment.
