Story

After the announcement of nationwide lockdown on 24th March and subsequent shutdown of all the rail and road transport services throughout India, there has been migration of large number of daily wage labourers from various metropolitan cities on FOOT.
On further submission by union govt in the supreme court, order was passed to stop this movement of people in massive numbers rendering them stranded in their respective location on roads throughout the country.
A similar case is faced by labourers stranded in Bihar State from other places without proper hygeine or even essential food items. We started contacting various stores in Gaya district of Bihar to prepare a take home kit with food supplies lasting one month. Each kit contains rice 5kgs, flour 5kgs, cooking oil, pulses 2kgs, essential spices, salt, sugar 2kgs, tea, .5kg. Each kit costs 1250/-. At initial stage we have received calls in Gaya district for around 20 people some of whom are being helped by local organisations . We will start for requesting more funding as we find more people. As India has demonstrated high endurance in times of crisis in the past, we are sure that we will fight through this pandemic and come out stronger.
