Dr. Kevin Emmanuel William is a dear friend of ours. We are here to seek your help for his medical treatment. Kevin is 32 years old and was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer (cancer of large intestine with spread to the liver) on 6th Dec, 2019. He got 13 rounds of chemotherapy and 9 rounds of immunotherapy. Around 10 lakhs were spent for his treatment from the time of diagnosis. His doctor reported his response to therapy as excellent.
On 10th July, 2020 he underwent a 7 hour surgery (Right hemi colectomy and partial hepatic resection) where parts of his intestine and liver were removed at Rela Institute and Medical Center(RIMC), Red hills, Chennai. His recovery was going great and he was taken off the ventilator sooner than expected. On 14th July he tested positive for Covid-19. He was moved to the ICU in RIMC, Chrompet and was under observation for next four days. The initial cost of surgery and ICU stay was calculated to be approximately 13 lakhs.
Currently he is forced to stay at the isolation ward in the hospital as hotels will not receive him and he can’t move in with his family either. Kevin is the only child of Pr. David William (full time senior pastor at Hands of Jesus Prayer fellowship) and Mrs. Kamala William (retired secretary). He is working as a quality executive in Chennai Hospital, Chennai. We have depleted all the contributions from his relatives & friends and most of his parents’ savings.
We are faced with the expenses of hospital stay, scans, chemotherapy, future medical treatments and maintenance chemo therapy. Please come forward to support our friend in his fight.
