Help Keertibala Fight Cancer

Hi all,

I am Ameya Todankar, and I am raising funds for my wife Keertibala Shukla. Here is excerpt from her which she wanted to share with you all:

Some of you know me and why I have started this fundraising, but for those who don't, I am Keertibala Shukla. I am 32 years old and a mother of a 2 year old daughter. According to my doctor, Punit Jain (Apollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai), I am suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (was admitted on 18th feb). The treatment include Chemotherapy along with Bone Marrow Transplant, and the cost for the same is around 50,00,000 (fifty lakh rupees) approximately.

I know I am not the only person who is suffering from such a disease, but am the only one for my husband and my daughter, Kimaya. So please help me live, so I can see my daughter grow and be with her for every experiences of her life. Help me fight for my life.

I’m encouraged by the support I’ve already received, but I still need help reaching my fundraising goal.
Would you be willing to make a contribution to my fundraiser? A gift of any amount would mean the world to me. It would also mean a lot if you could share my fundraiser link. The more exposure I get, the faster I will reach my fundraising goal.

I’d love to talk to you in person about my fundraiser, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,
Keertibala Shukla.

Hello friends and family,

Keerti had a clot of 1500 cells in here brain as the cancer cells had travelled through the main vein. So our doctor suggested Radiation Therapy as he doesnt want to take any risk as Keerti is in complete remission.

We met Dr. Sandeep De (Radiation Oncologist, Apollo Hospital). He suggested for a 10 sitting radiation dose of 18 gy, which was started on 12th nov. The sittings are over now and even its side effect are gone. The cost for the same is 40k and i have attached a letter from the doctor.

So now we are waiting for the next plan. It was not been possible without you all and your prayers. I dont know how much more Keerti has to go through. Just praying to GOD that all this gets over soon.

Thanking You,
Kimaya Keerti Ameya

Dear Supporters,

Sorry for late update. Last month was very challenging for Keerti, after her 4th Hyper CVAD Cycle Arm A (Cyclophosphamide Arm) her blood counts were continuously fluctuating. Her WBC count was very low so had to give her growth factor injections daily two time in a day. Her HB had gone down so had to transfuse blood. Once here counts got stable, abdominal pain started the very next day so had to admitt her again on 8th October 2019. As 10th was her due date for the next arm (Arm B Methotrexate Arm) had to continue her hospitalisation. From 14th October 2019 her chemotherapy has been started.

Next we are waiting for BMT. Hope this cycle doesn't bring challenges too. Hope everything goes right this time. Thank you all for your constant prayers and your support.

Regards,
Kimaya Keerti Ameya.

Hello family and friends,

Keerti was admitted to the hospital on 16th august to 29th august or the last Hyper CVADCycle Arm B (Methotraxate Arm). As u all know that the chemo drugs affects the blood counts of the patient, now her platelets count and the WBC has gone low. Keerti needs platelet transfusion, so doctor has asked her to get admitted for the procedure.

Once her counts come in control, doctor has decided to start with the BMT procedure.Hope everything goes well.

Regards,
Kimaya Keerti Ameya.
