The poor tribal dhokra artisans around 500 are facing acute food and livelihood insecurity due to Covid-19 lock down. These extremely poor families normally get a meagre income due to poor marketing facility for their craft products. The current lockdown has aggravated their situation where there is no demand, no order, no production and no sale. Their family runs on daily sale of their dhokra craft products. Since last one and half month most of them are in starvation. There is no alternative income available nearby.
DSS, a non profit is engaged with the craft community for their upliftment since last 4 years. DSS has responded with dry ration and hygiene kits for one week to 110 needy families so far. There are another 100 families needing the help.They need to survive first during this extended lockdown at least for one month further.

1. Food for one month for 150 families @ Rs 2000= Rs 3,00,000
2. Raw material Bank for 150 families @ Rs 2500 = Rs 3,75,000
3. Working capital and Wage compensation @ Rs 2000= Rs 3,00,000
4. Administration = Rs 25,000
Total Fund= Rs 10,00,000( Ten lakhs)
This amount will be spent for above purposes with the participation of the artisan groups.
