My name is Pitchaiammal, am Karthi's mother. Karthi has been born and grown up normal like every other child until 3 years of his life until a catastrophe is thrown at him through Epilepsy disorder which decided to ruin the rest of his life by ceasing his ability to learn life skills and gave the image of lunatic before society.
But, we always considered him as our god's gift. Karthi has been very passionate about learning slokas and supporting his father in the temple. He is an optimistic child who never misses cherishing everyone around him through his charisma.
Unfortunately, he is struck with Chronic Renal Failure which is totally unexpected and we came to know about it a few months back while getting the treatment for his leg edema, which is a major symptom of kidney failure.
My son is everything for us. We would like to show up the bright side of his life even after his successful kidney transplantation. He is currently getting his monthly checkup and visit under the care of Dr. Mangala Kumar, Kovai Medical Centre, And Hospital (KMCH) Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. As well, he is undergoing Dialysis Treatment at KMCH City Centre Branch, Ram Nagar, Coimbatore every other day(3 days a week).
The dialysis procedure every other day costs around 3000 rupees. Our Household Income is approximately 10,000 rupees every month. We are managing to afford dialysis costs thanks to the direct donations from our neighbors, family, and friends. In addition, it is advised not to continue the dialysis treatment for a long time as it will increase fluid retention in the body, threatening his life. As per the doctor's advice, we plan to perform the Kidney Transplantation for Karthi and I'm willing to donate my kidneys.
Total Cost for Kidney Transplantation - 11,00,000 INR
Donor Recipient Compatibility Tests - 1,00,000 INR
Surgical Cost - 8,00,000 INR
Post-surgical Cost (Includes Hospitalization Charges and Medications): 2,00,000 INR.
