Due to the lockdown, many of our day-care children families are facing challenges to fulfill their basic needs, most of them are daily wage earners, who have no means of income to feed their families, so we started to support their families by providing a Survival Pack. The pack includes
 1.    Rice
2.     Dry Provisions
3.     Hand Sanitizer
4.     Face masks
the demand keeps on increasing, so we decided to expand our relief work. We got official permission from the District Collectorate of Villupuram to reach these needy families.
Each pack costs Rs. 1000/- and we are planning to reach 1000 families with special needs children.

We are a non-profit organization called Sristi Foundation www.sristivillage.org. Based in rural Tamil Nadu (India) we work towards improving the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We follow the de-institutionalization philosophy and mainly work with the impoverished rural disabled community in India who face many challenges - exclusion, neglect, malnutrition... the list goes on.
At Sristi, we aim to empower our members with training, skills, and the nutrition that will enable them to lead a more dependent and dignified life. Our methodology is a combination of education, life skills training, and vocational experience. Over the past 7 years, we've worked to turned 9-acres of rural land into an inclusive residential care farm, called Sristi Village, with a special school for children from the surrounding area.
