The garden is coming up in a existing public park, in a span of 4,400 sq ft area (55feet wide &80 feet length), I will be planting 150 flowering plants of 30 species, there will be lotus ponds of 135 cubic feet, within the garden.
I am in need of financial assistance for 6 feet barbed wire fencing, purchasing of some flowering plants directly from nursery & for irrigation system(iron pipes & sprinklers). Most of the work is done(plant seeds and cuttings collected & have prepared land for sowing/planting) with minimum expenditure.
Why butterfly garden or flower garden or nectar garden!? Surprisingly they can act as pest controllers, weed controllers, fertilizers, ground covers and the list goes on. These plants helps a great number of pollinator Insects such as butterflies, honey bees, bumblebees, moths, wasps, etc...along with this, some other birds and beneficial insects like lacewings, ladybugs, mantids, hoverflies that feed on insect pests in your garden thus playing part of natural pest controller, apart from these benefits plants also fix nitrogen which we have a lot in our air, to be precise it's 78% nitrogen in air we breath in. Flowering plants like marigold also act as insect traps which plays important role in pest control.
