My name is Radhika and I am here to raise funds for my husband Karnal Premnath who is 39 years old. Karnal Premnath is working in an MNC company and he is the only sole income earner in his family.
He fought COVID19 bravely and the battle went on in the ventilator for more than a month. Within 2 weeks of recovery, he was detected with Mucormycosis, commonly referred to as “Black fungus”, which is a rare and dangerous fungal infection, is infecting patients of the covid-19 disease. He was admitted for surgery to recover from “Black fungus” on June 01, 2021, at Thangam Hospital Namakkal and was discharged on June 12, 2021 after a 90% successful surgery.
Within 10 days of discharge, the MRI revealed that he still has the black fungus on the left side of the upper jaw and is slowly spreading in the blood. Doctors say that it will damage his overall body if not treated and the upper left jaw should be completely removed via surgery asap. On July 15, 2021, Karnal was admitted to a Private Hospital in chennai with residual disease and possible disease progression and needs emergency surgery to prevent further disease progression to orbit and brain. If not intervened it could be life-threatening.
Now he is currently undergoing medication and treatment at Private Hospital. Until now, we've spent about Rs. 18,50000.
We've arranged amounts from medical insurance, savings, loans & selling assets. In the next few days, we need Rs.50,00,000.00 more for Further Medication, Treatment and jaw replacment Surgery.
