Babul's predicament:

Babul Baruah is a security guard working in Bangalore. His mother, 55 year old Kanmai Boruah is battling cancer of the oesophagus at her village Thalipukhuri, an overnight distance from the nearest cancer hospital at Guwahati. With Babul and his brother Mridul's meagre earnings, they are unable to raise the more than Rs 5 Lakhs needed for their mother Kanmai's treatment.

Kanmai Boruah urgently needs chemotherapy. The doctors at Dr. Bhubaneshwar Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati have advised 10 rounds of chemo, costing about Rs 35,000 per session. The residents of the community where Babul works in Bangalore have so far been able to raise Rs 1,06,000 as on the 15th of March 2020. Babul and his brother also need to take Kanmai by ambulance to Guwahati , an over night distance and need help to stay and take care of their mother in Guwahati.

How will your Donation be utilized?

The money raised can be directly channelized to the hospital to pay for  Kanmai's medical expenses.

We appeal to generous donors to help this  young man's  mother, who is only 55 years old and save her.

 Babul is desperate for help but you can see quiet dignity in him as he stoically faces this huge calamity. His brother Mridul gave up a job in Bangalore as a security guard to go back to take care of his mother.
