80G tax benefits for INR donations

We are fundraising for my mother, Mrs. Kanchan Prabha Srivastava, who is battling for her life in the ICU currently in Kolkata, India.

Our mother was admitted to AMRI Hospital Mukundpur, Kolkata on June 30, 2022, where she was diagnosed with Severe Covid-19 Pneumonia. On July 6, 2022, she was shifted to AMRI Hospital, Dhakuria, Kolkata for further critical care treatment. She has been in the ICU since the day of her admission and on ventilator support since July 3, 2022; her situation remains critical and over the course of time, there have been additional complexities to her overall health situation. Along with ventilator support, she is also being treated for renal and sensory issues.

So far, the cost has been managed through insurance and personal funds. The one-month cost for her hospitalization and ICU care has been approximately INR 23,00,000 (INR 23 lakhs / USD 29K) and doctors have indicated a long hospital stay. With her current condition and extended critical care stay in the hospital, the medical care is climbing beyond our means.

We are extremely grateful to all of you who have constantly kept in touch with our family and are praying for my mother’s speedy recovery and her return to home very soon.

We are now reaching out to all you kindhearted souls to donate through this funding campaign to help our mother recover and return home at the earliest. We greatly appreciate if you can share this with family and friends and help us spread the word.

Any level of financial assistance to the family through these troubled times is much appreciated. No matter how big or small your contribution is, we accept your contribution with equal appreciation and are deeply grateful for your kindness.

Donations in INR are tax exempted / deductible u/s 80G of Indian Income Tax Act. Donors can check for the note '80G tax benefits for INR donations' below the 'Donate Now' button on the fundraiser.
