80G tax benefits for INR donations

During my many visits to Saksham (a school for less privileged children) with my elder sister during her volunteering days, I sensed the need to do more. Show You Care is an expression of reaching out.
Initially, I got my friends to chip in with books and managed to collect and donate over 100 story books.
Buoyed by this, I took on the challenge of gathering funds to sponsor 1-2 girls by baking and selling cakes and cupcakes at home. Was overwhelmed by the support of family and friends and managed to sponsor annual education of 04 girls, double of what i had set out to achieve.
Next initiative undertaken by Show You Care was awareness and prevention kits for DENGUE. Seeing the widespread epidemic it has become in the past few years and realising that children from less privileged homes are most prone o this disease due to their exposure to unhygienic neighbourhoods, I assembled and distributed over 300 dengue kits to children of two schools- Dayal Public School and Gaurav Foundation.
Show You Care even arranged non toxic pest control sprays for mosquitoes and flies at two cow shelters in Chakkarpur village in Gurugram in October 2018.
Winters in North India can get very cold and sight of poorly dressed school children is a very disturbing visual. Show You Care reached out to kind hearted acquaintances and through another bake sale collected enough funds to buy sweaters and gloves for over 200 students at Saksham. Their happy faces made it all worth while.
Since its inception, Show You Care, in the past 8 months has collected and spent more than Rs 1,00,000 and reached out to more than 500 less privileged school going children in three schools.
Now the aim is to reach out to the maximum number of people who need a helping hand. Show You Care wishes to scale up our activities through this platform.
The immediate aim is to collect funds to put in new fiber sheets for the classroom roofs at Saksham before the onset of summer.
