    from India

My mother is 53 yrs old. She is seriously ill  and intubated for 8 days. She requires immediate Diaphragmatic surgery. The surgery has to be done within 2-3 days.

My parents (mother, father and one younger brother(12 yr old)) live in Ambikapur, Dist - Sarguja, CG 450 kms away from Raipur.
On 20th December morning, my mother was feeling uneasiness and chocking. She was suddenly taken to Holy Cross Hospital, Ambikapur. After primary examination, doctor admitted her in to an ICU with ventilator support. Then she was continued with further diagnosis. The USG reports of Chest revealed that she has severe infection in lung and Right lung is consolidated.

Doctors suggested us to keep her in ICU for 24 hrs and then to take her to any multi-speciality hospital, as they had not any chest specialist.
On day 21st December night I took my mother in to an ambulance with ventilator and one compounder to NHMMI, RAIPUR. As of condition demand I had not other choice except to shift her in this hospital.

On 22nd December, afternoon I reched here and she got admitted in ICU after primary diagnosis and observation.

She was under Dr Deepesh Mashkey, MD, internal medicine, critical care unit with other specialist doctors like Neuro-physician, Cardiac surgeon, physiotherapists.

Doctors had reported me that my mother has Myopathy Respiration Failure type 2. Her lungs have gone week and are unable to breath itself thus a life suppport machine is attached to her respiratory system. CO2 level in her body is too high and O2 condition is low. Blood pressure is also fluctuating.

Doctors have suggested to keep her in ICU and under observation till the oxygen saturation of body meets with requirements. She is going through daily x ray testing, blood test physiotherapy, regular ventilator support.
Chest muscle weekness was still not recognised as the required machine for the testing was unavailable there.
There she was treated for 11 days and expenses were held around 5.0 + lacs.
Due to financial reason I took my mother to AIIMS, Raipur on 01.01.2018 and here she is under continuous treatment and observation. Here she was admitted under Dr Ajoy K. Behra, Professor & Head - Pulmonary Medicine.
After seeing patient treatment history and test reports, Dr Behra told us that My mother's left diaphragm is paralysed and it has shifted upwards. He further said that the Nerve conduction study is necessary to examine the cause for this behavior. In AIIMS, Raipur, too has not the facility for this.
They referred my mother to the Nizam Institute of Medical sciences (NIMS), Punjagutta, Hyderabad for Surgical Correction of her Diaphragm Paralysis.
The expenses at AIIMS was approximately 75,000/- for 20 days.
On day 20 January I moved from AIIMS and I reached to NIMS on 21 January.
I came directly to casualty, there she was kept on Oxygen and diagnosis started.
They shifted my mother to Neuroscience department on 23 January under Dr AK Meena, Professor - Neurology, there my mother was carried out with Nerve conduction study (NCS), MRI and many other tests.
After examining the test results Today Dr Meena told us that surgical correction is required for fixing the problem.
Tomorrow they are planning to shift her in Cardio Thoracic Surgery ICU under Dr Vijay kumar, Professor & Head, CTS.
Dr vijay told us that surgical expenditures will be 2.5 lac.
I am already in debt and me & my father's condition is not good enough.
Due to financial crisis, I am unable to take decision at my own.
I request you all most humbly to help me. The expected amount of  surgical expenditures are 200,000/- and others are 50,000/-.

I request you all to support me with rs 2.5 lac.
Seeing my mother health condition, I need this amount urgently.
I will be greatful to you all for my entire life.
Please ignore the writing mistakes.
