Story

Those are extremely tough times when one has to see a loved one battle a severe disease, especially when one cannot afford to pay for the treatment. Team Kartavya is trying to help by raising funds for Mrs Kamla Devi, the mother of one of our pass-out students, Shikha. She has been diagnosed with probable carcinoma ovary (ovarian cancer).

Mrs Kamla Devi's daughter Shikha used to be a student at our NGO Kartavya, run by IIT(ISM) Dhanbad students. Apart from Shikha, she also has a son who is currently in the final year of his BTech. Her husband is also suffering from illness and does not work. Shikha is taking tuitions. Overall, the family does not have enough income to afford the treatment.

Mrs Devi has already gone through two chemotherapy procedures at Asarfi Hospital. One of the members of Kartavya had stepped forward and helped her by making the payments for the treatments. However, she still needs to go through another chemo and surgery. She plans to undergo Interval Debulking Surgery on the 25th of May and 3rd chemo on the 27th of April. The surgery and treatment will cost Rs 2,50,000, according to the hospital management.

Our team is hoping to raise the amount of Rs 2,50,000 for her treatment as suggested, and we need your assistance.

As the amount required is huge, I request you to kindly contribute to her treatment and help her during this time of need. Each contribution is important!

Please help Mrs Kamla Devi fight these difficult times in her life by clicking on the donate button and sharing this page with your friends and family. Even a small contribution from you can help save someone's mother. Please contribute whatever you can.
