    This fundraiser will benefit

    Kalyan Munshi

    from Kolkata, West Bengal

My father, Mr. Kalyan Munshi had been admitted to  Medica Superspecialty hospital from 13th July 2020 with issues involving Breathing trouble,
Global ischemia and infections in the Lungs.

After the admission, The next day angiography was done and it was found my father had 3 major blockages in the heart with acute infection in the lungs. Bypass surgery was the only option and accordingly, my father was operated on 20-07-2020. The operation went successful and my father was kept in ICU with ventilation support for 3 days. Now by this time the bills raised by the hospital, from time to time, went exponentially high.

My father started going stable gradually thereafter and the doctor decided to discharge him on 29-07-2020. Unfortunately, on 28-07-2020, it was communicated by the hospital authority that suddenly some blood clots appeared internally around the area operated for which the blood pressure of my father started going low and therefore they need to open up the operated area once more to clear such clots and accordingly it was done and again my father went under ventilation support.

The doctor said maybe he will be discharged by Monday, i.e. on 3-07-2020. The interim bill provided to us by the hospital shows a total amount of Rs. 6,05,309.44/- as on 29-07-2020. My father is not having a medical-claim facility and we had already paid an amount of Rs. 4,41,000/- as of 29-07-2020, which includes my contribution, contribution from my well-wishers, and his entire savings. We are now left with no fund and I can sense that by the time my father will be discharged as per doctor's instruction, the total bill will be somewhere around Rs. 8,00,000/- or more.

I humbly request you to help me with arranging an amount of Rs. 4,00,000/- at least so that shortage of funds does not stand in the way of my father's treatment. I am in immediate need of the amount aforesaid and therefore request you to treat this exigency on priority.
