My name is Nilay Desai and I am here to raise funds for my neighbor Kalpana Singh.
She is a 23 year old mother of one who lives in Bangalore with her husband. 8 months ago, she met with a terrible accident while riding on the bike with her husband and her 1 year old son. In saving her son from harm, she ended up coming under a big lorey. When she next woke up, she had lost a leg and fingers on her arm.
This was doubly hard on her family considering that she was the sole earning member in her family with her husband currently unemployed. They had to raise INR 6 Lacs for the operation and medication to treat her at Christ Super Speciality Hospital and St. Johns Hospital which depleted all her family's savings and the community came together to raise money for her.
Out of the hospital, now, she is now looking to get an artificial limb so she can get back on her feet and start working. She needs Rs. 55,000 to get this limb.
