Story

Raising Rs.25,000/- for Kajal

Please donate Rs.500/- or more.

[Update - Rs.8,800 has been successfully raised and paid. Rs.16,200 is remaining.]

We rescued Kajal in January. She was a stray aged female dog who had vaginal prolapse, cancerous anal tumour and kidney infection. She bled profusely. She smelled awful. But it was not at all her fault.
She was either hit with a stick or brutally splashed with water. Her condition was not pleasant. She was suffering terribly. We couldn't see her in pain. We gave her food but she could not eat properly.
Since no one was willing to do the needful for her, we had to step in. We admitted her to the Animals First Veterinary Clinic.

After examining her, we were informed that it was her intestine which came out and it turned solid like a stone. The vet managed to push the organ back in her body after putting efforts for an hour. Her haemoglobin was low and Total Leukocyte Count (TLC) was very high.

After intensive care and adequate nutrition, her haemoglobin level enhanced but suddenly dropped when the operation date approached.

Finally,
Anal Tumour Removal Operation βœ…
Sterilisation βœ…
Her immunity is still under recovery period.

After rigorous circulation of fund appeal and chipping in my own contribution, we paid Rs.19,366/-

Had we delayed medical treatment to Kajal, she would have died a torturous death.

My personal savings (along with funds) are exhausted to clear her previous medical expenditure.
Now, I urge you to please contribute for Kajal.
Your contribution is crucial.

Kajal is a stray, aged female dog who unexpectedly arrived in our locality.
Her internal organ was coming out and we had no choice but to take her to the veterinary hospital.
She was docile and surprisingly quiet.
Initially, we tried taking her to the vet but she jumped from the moving vehicle due to fear. Then, we booked an animal ambulance and rushed her to Animals First Veterinary Clinic in
 Chattarpur, New Delhi.
Had we overlooked her suffering and delayed her treatment, she would have been expired...
The Veterinarian examined her and revealed that the organ hanging was 'intestine'. It turned solid like a stone. After 1.5 hours, the vet was able to push her intestines back into her body.
In spite of enduring so much pain, she did not turn aggressive towards us (though we were strangers to her).
We admitted her there on 02.01.2022.

As per her first blood test report, her hemoglobin was low; her Total Leucocyte Count (TLC) was very high and RBC count was very low.
We decided to continue her treatment.

After 1.5 months of giving her nutritious meals and adequate medication, her hemoglobin reached the normal level and her health improved.
Her sterilisation and the operation for prolapse will be performed today (26.02.2022). The post-operation care will be provided to her.
She will come back next month but before that, it is urgent to collect the charges and pay it to them.

  • Treatment for Prolapse for 49 days (Rs.400 per day) = Rs.19,600
  • Blood Tests (2) = Rs.1,300
  • Blood Tests (3) = Rs.400
  • Spaying and Post-Sterilisation Care = Rs.5500

           Total = Rs. 26,800

Her videos and the final payment receipt will be shared with donors to maintain transparency.
