We are seeking funds to help Kabeer realise his dream of educating the children in his village Rajla in Nagda in the Ujjain District of Madhya Pradesh. He is a 27 year old MBA graduate who has left his lush life in the city to work in his hometown in Madhya Pradesh where he runs a tutorial centre. Here, he provides free tuition to students of all ages from nursery to 10th standard. The tuition is provided free of cost to enable underprivileged children who have no access to schools or formal education to learn something. He also provides students with stationery and food during recess. Kabeer's work has affected several young minds and given the people of this village a hope for a better tomorrow.
At present, Kabeer does not have a source of income. Hence his goal of educating his village consisting of many small slum-hamlets where children have no access to education as there are no schools which can implement the Right to Education Act, cannot be fulfilled without donor contributions. At present his tutorial which he has established in lieu of the Government School (recently closed down for lack of teaching staff and proper latrine facility) requires infrastructural investment (white board, slates, stationery for children, mats to sit on). Donor contributions will be directed towards these specific things.
