Gift Us The Joy Of Reading In Our Mother Tongue!

It was around fifty years back when the Bengali speaking community of Myanmar was offered refuge in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. The community has since then adopted the maharashtrian lifestyle and culture. But one thing still dint change for them, speaking in their mother tongue and sending their children to bengali medium schools provided by the government. This marked the beginning of a bilingual generation that speaks marathi and bengali. Despite attending Bengali medium schools, they still do not have access to bengali books in their library.

Now, we need your support to help us get them bengali books, so these children can experience the joy of reading in their mother tongue. Every rupee you donate through this fundraiser will be used to bring bengali books to their hands. This fundraiser is going to help us buy around 400 books in Bengali for around 500 children in 15 different schools.
