Sekar was raised in a poor family. He studied electrical mechanics which somehow sorted his career as a camera mechanic.
His parakeet’s scenes started when a tsunami hits Chennai in 2004.
Day 1, it was 4 parakeets that came to his house and he started feeding them. In the first year, there were almost 1000 parakeets. Now there are 4000 parakeets which come there twice a day. To keep this rolling he hasn’t traveled anywhere out. Made his life completely around this, which he says as “I know I'm caged for this parakeet, but I enjoy this”
He needs 75 kgs of rice/day which comes up to around $50 per day that he pays out of his own pocket.
All proceeds will go to Joseph directly.
