    This fundraiser will benefit

    Jeeva K

    from Chennai, Tamil Nadu

I'm here to raise funds for my Mother Jeeva's treatment. My Mom has been diagnosed with Covid on 11/05/2021. She was under home quarantine for 7 days during which she was fine for the first 5 days with intermittent fever and body pain.

Later her SPO2 level started dropping to 93/92 and a Chest CT Score of 13/25. With the prevailing bed shortage we managed to admit her in Rainbow hospital, Chennai for treatment on 18/05/2021.

She was under high flow oxygen support initially and then her condition worsened and she was under CPAP/BIPAP support in intensive care for the next 5 days. Still there was no improvement on her health.

By then we were able to find a bed availability in Apollo, OMR and we decided to shift her there hoping for better treatment.

CT report was taken during admission at a private hospital and was found that she had 95% lung damage with severe lung burn out. She was put in mechanical ventilator support on 25/05/2021. After 6 days in main critical care unit, she was showing signs of improvement. She was extrubated and put on high flow oxygen support.

Due to the severe lung damage (fibrosis), she was facing difficulty breathing and was not able to hold in high flow oxygen for even 2 days and was again put on ventilator support.

We have so far spent 12,42,000 for the medical expenses for total 18 days of hospital stay. With growing medical bill (70K to 80K aprox/ day), we are facing difficulty in managing with the hospital expenses.

We are reaching out to you all to support us financially for my mother's treatment and her recovery. We are extremely grateful to all those who have generously contributed for this cause - No amount is less right now, every penny matters. We request you to come forward and donate any amount you can for her treatment. It would also mean the world to us if you could also share our fundraiser link with your family and friends too.

Last but not the least please pray for her recovery.
