“There will be a lot of deaths in my family if we are unable to save our son. Please help us save him” I am Kulwant Singh from Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. My son, Jeetandar, is 40 years old and is suffering from cancer.

He had been complaining of having severe toothache for a while so he went to the doctor in Srinagar for a check-up. The doctor examined him and advised him to get two tooth extractions done. He said the pain would subside within a few days so Jeetandar got two of his teeth removed. The pain was still persistent and got even more severe in the following days. We all got very worried and went to the doctor with him. He told us that two other teeth had gotten sceptic and needed to be removed as well. So they removed the two infected teeth as well but unfortunately, the pain kept getting worse.
One night we heard him scream in pain and decided to take him to Mumbai and get him checked there. So on 2 January 2020 we reached Mumbai and got the worst news of our lives. The doctors ran a few tests and found out that our son had Jaw Cancer. We were devastated. We did not know what to do and started crying. Our son calmed us down and told us to be hopeful. The hospital has told us that it will cost around Rs 7.2 lakh for his treatment. We haven’t been able to start his treatment because we do not have the money to pay for it. With each passing minute, his health is deteriorating at an alarming rate and we cant help him.  It breaks our heart to watch our son suffer like this. Jeetander is the only breadwinner of the family and if we lose him, we will lose everything.
