    This fundraiser will benefit

    Jaswant Lal

    from Amritsar, Punjab

Jaswant Lal is a 41 years old Indian. Born in Amritsar in 1982, Jaswant's family had to flee to Delhi to save their lives during the violence in Punjab. Jaswant then lived in a refugee camp for the next 15 years in his own country. He is working for the last 22 years. Life threw many challenges at Jaswant but he has not succumbed to any habits. He does not drink, does not gamble. Jaswant has only one addiction, he wants to see his three children to not have the life he has had. He wants to see all three of his kids educated with degrees of their choice.

In hopes to get back to his roots Jaswant moved back to Amritsar in 2003, he worked on cloth polishing machines, in 2017 he had a very serious accident in the factory. The accident damaged Jaswant’s left hand and he ended up using all his savings to save his hand. The hand was saved but Jaswant cannot use it as before and he is not fit to work with machines anymore (picture attached). Since then, Jaswant is struggling to provide for his family. He takes up every odd job that he can do, be it a delivery man or a housekeeper, But the proud man Jaswant always provided for his family and his kids’ education. Without seeking help! Jaswant does not own a house or any other property. They make do by living in any space provided by the employer of that particular time.

But Jaswant feels the biggest victim of his accident and the subsequent fall in income is the education of his children. He has found himself struggling to send children to schools, procure gadgets needed in today’s time or pay for tuitions.

Jaswant’s eldest daughter is 16 years old (10+1) and has the ambition to become a CA. Younger daughter is 14 and youngest son is 8. All kids are good in studies, but the constant shifting means they must change schools regularly. Lack of a permanent address also means Jaswant is unable to avail of most government schemes. A hardworking good man needs our help, Jaswant is an ideal citizen and should be taken care of. We are raising money to help Jaswant educate his 3 kids. With your contribution Jaswant can send his kids to good schools and give them proper coaching for their college degree too.

Education is the best gift and investment one can give. Vidya daan sarvotam daan! The basic total education fees for Jaswant’s 3 kids will be around 15 Lakh! With this money we can ensure that these 3 kids turn into ideal tax paying citizen who can become contributing members of our society.

Your contribution can give security to Jaswant’s family and life to the dreams of his kids. Let’s help Jaswant!
