Baby Jai Ganesh is 2 months old, s/o Jeevanandam working as a driver with a mere monthly income of 12000 is diagnosed with a heart ailment which is to be operated upon immediately as the baby is constantly losing weight and cannot withstand this condition for long. He is being treated at The Madras Medical Mission. 

The hospital has given an estimate of 3,49,500 of which the father is able to raise 50000 with the help of his owners, family and friends. He has to pay the rest within a deadline of 2 days for the surgery and the baby to survive.
