My name is Gautam Mishra and I am a resident of Patna, Bihar. I am raising funds for my mother Jagadamba Mishra who is suffering from Black Fungus (Mucormycosis). She contracted COVID-19, and weeks later after recovery, she got infected with black fungus, due to which she lost one eye`s vision. Furthermore worrisome is that the infection is progressing.

My family has done all it can to collect the total amount required for the treatment but furthermore is required to pay for surgery and medical treatment. We have got her operated on twice in a private hospital in Patna (Details Attached).

As the infection is progressing, the doctor has suggested another surgery. We have exhausted all our savings as well. To prevent the fungus from further progressing, doctors have prescribed ~70 dosages of Liposomal Amphotericin B, each cost around ~ Rs.7800 per vial. This medicine alone adds 5.5 lakhs to the medical expenses.

Excluding Liposomal, there were approximately Rs. 5 lakhs expenses on medicine (medicine bill attached below),5-6 lakhs on hospital rental charges (for both Covid-19 & black fungus). An estimated amount of 7-8 lakhs is required for neurosurgery.
