Lamp Educational and Charitable Trust is an NGO to support education to Underprivileged Children and started by Jaganathan Rajagopal in 2010, in Bangalore, Karnataka. The NGO has supported around 36 Underprivileged Children by giving free tuition and supporting with school fees, uniforms, and stationaries.

The NGO has been running for the last 9 years and has already impacted the lives of 36 underprivileged children.

Our Ambition is to educate children and the end of poverty.

We aim to educate more children by equipping them with a tutored background and enhance their intellectual awareness by learning, critical thinking, and communication. This will help the children to thrive in life, personally and professionally. We will do this by providing a complementary curriculum within the aforesaid tuition center. From this learning environment, children will learn holistically.

The kids are not equipped to understand and handle/ stop disrespectful/ abusive /violent behavior. This stops them from dealing with the situation and the aftermath of it. Therefore, equipping them with this knowledge and introducing them to self-reliance through education can be helpful for children.

There are innumerable benefits of getting children educated such as improving their quality of life and the people around them, enhancing their skills for the betterment of the society, and thereby the growth of the nation as a whole.

How we are going to solve it?

• We are expanding our tuition center to provide free tuition to underprivileged students and in the evening help elders to read and write.

• We want to end the poverty, by giving vocational training to women, to set up their own skilled industry (Tailoring, Arts & Crafts, Retail jobs & Hospitality Course). For Men, we help to get a job in retail industries & Hospitality Industries.

• We planned to add extracurricular activities to enhance the knowledge to our students:

• At present, we are taking tuition in 200sqft room, as more children approaching to join, we planned to expand our tuition center from 200sqft to 1000sqft for lease.

• Help us contributing the below amount to end poverty.
• For 1000 to 1500 sqft the lease amount will be 5 lakhs and to set up the center with stationery and other equipment it will cost 1 lakh, in total we are looking for 6 lakh.
• 
  
• Please support us to educate the children and our elders with moral ethics and extra-curricular activities.
