Spread Love And Peace (SLAP) is an Assam based youth led and run collective working for their development, leadership and community building. We have been working in multiple regions of India from time to time providing services, gearing up campaigns and engaging the youths towards socio civic role.
SLAP also focuses on menstrual health and hygiene, and therefore looking forward to serve the needful by providing sanitary napkins during this lockdown period.
There are over 355 million menstruating women and girls in India, but millions of women across the country still face significant barriers to a comfortable and dignified experience with menstrual hygiene management (MHM). And especially due to Covid-19, mobility of essential products across the country has been slow which is hard hitting for some of the most remote areas of our country. Women from such remote areas are facing an acute shortage of resources, including menstrual hygiene products and we at SLAP want to assist by providing them with sanitary pads.
We are urging people to donate the price of a pad that is Rs. 30 per pack and we will ensure its distribution to whoever needs it irrespective of the place across India. We are aiming to distribute 1400 sanitary napkins that would have a sum total of Rs. 42000.
Our daily plan looks as follows:

We will be buying 100 packs per day till 14th April. Once we reach the target, we will begin distribution of the packets from 15th April (tenatively) to those who need them.

The sanitary napkins distribution will be across India but the priority is Assam.
