80G tax benefits for INR donations

As we all know, digital learning is the need of the hour. It is essential for any school going child, especially in this competitive society. Currently, the children studying at Jaagriti have very limited access to computers. We aim to bridge this gap by setting up a Digital Literacy Lab (DLL) at Jaagriti.

The lab will have basic hardware and software along with trained manpower who will train and guide young minds to become a part of Digital India. This initiative would not only impart computer education to the children but also improve their learning experience and develop life long learning skills in them. Thus, bringing them at par with the privileged ones.

Use of computers for learning will also attract children to come to classes regularly, keep them interested and decrease drop-out rates. Children will also have access to several learning resources and experts from around the world at any time.

For the same, we request for your support to help us with below requirements:

10 old working desktop computers/laptops which we can be used for computer education of the children.

Financial support in covering the day to day running expenses of the digital lab which includes room rent, electricity and stationary expenses and salary of the computer teacher. The running expenses would come around Rs. 35,000 per month in total.

For the 1st year of operations, our total expenses are estimated to be Rs. 5,35,000 including the cost of old working computers.

Please note all donations to Jaagriti are 50% exempt from tax under 80G.

We will be grateful for your kind support. Please feel free to write to us in case of any queries.
