I Murtuza Abbas Kanchwala, hereby make an appeal on
behalf of my brother Ismail Abbas Kanchwala, age 29 years, who is suffering from Parkinson
and Dystonia disease. His symptoms for Parkinson started in 2009. During his treatment at Jaslok Hospital till date, it is evaluated that he has motor fluctuations, bradykinesias, rigidity, tremors, dystonia of the jaws and foot. Doctors have strongly recommended him to undergo Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery to control his symptoms and tremors. Due to his illness his
health condition is getting worst day by day, as he is unable to speak and move for hours in a
day. Very often he remains hungry because he cannot eat food as his mouth remains stiff open for hours. His tremors do not allow him to sleep as his hands and legs constantly shake, he hardly manages an hour of sensitive sleep in a day. Further the medicines do not respond well on him. He lives a painful life. Ismail is also unable to communicate with people due to his mouth stiffness. He has kept himself isolated from social life due to rigidity in his movement. I have consulted other doctors as well, even they have suggested to undergo DBS Surgery.
We have no parents and we are the only support for each other. Ismail is unable to work due to his illness and Iam the only earning member with an average income. It is difficult to for us to pay such a huge amount of Rs 15,00,00 for the surgery. I further request, all of you to help my brother in raising fund for his DBS Surgery and seek your gracious blessing on him to recover soon and live a healthy life.
