The primary resources the project aims to provide people with a dry ration kit. With no way to cover expenses, hourly and daily wage workers will inevitably struggle to earn money for food. They don’t have the backup of any insurance, and they are among the most vulnerable to the adverse financial effects of the pandemic.

The project aims to provide a kit containing all the assistance to these targeted households. It is essential that we, a blessed class of people that do not struggle with the same difficulties, help support concrete initiatives such as these. As educated Indians, we have a responsibility to help the millions who are suffering. Involvement here will be community participation in conjunction with local authorities to test people who we are serving food to and to alert health authorities if they show signs of infection.

Funds

An initiative like this requires funds, and the first step is to raise 1 lakh rupees. The project needs volunteers, administration support, help from the authorities for security, help from medical institutions for the health checks, and delivery partners to run. Sarhan Sunain and his team see themselves as the first step and are happy to hand over the initiative to anyone who has the money and the experience to develop it further. At the same time, they remain in a volunteer role. The project needs unprecedented support for all of us to get through these tough times safely.
