    This fundraiser will benefit

    Indranil Gupta

    from Kolkata, West Bengal

Our beloved baba (father), Indranil Gupta is undergoing Immuno-Suppressive Therapy for getting his Aplastic Anaemia treated. His therapy is administered at Tata Medical Center. But adding to our distress, he had to be re-admitted for complications associated with the therapy.

What is Aplastic Anaemia?
It is a bone marrow problem where it fails to produce blood and the body becomes anaemic. The counts of rbc, wbc and haemoglobin gets reduced, making patients very weak and immuno compromised putting them at life-risk.

Presently, this is his 3rd hospital admission. He is currently in ICU, getting treated for a couple major complications which he recently developed:
Sepsis
Breathing problem
Mental fogging with drowsiness
And, destabilised blood pressure, along with his immuno-suppressive therapy.

He is stable but not yet clinically fit to be shifted to the general ward. Complications, infections, blood transfusions and hospital admissions have become a part of his life now and partially comprises of his overall prognosis. We will have to wait for roughly 3-4 months before the positive effects of the immuno-suppressive therapy kicks in. Till then it will be rough ride for him and for us.

Approximately ₹15 lakhs have already been spent on his previous admissions and immuno-suppressive drugs (70% of the overall cost covers these drugs only).

To meet and sustain the huge expenses associated with his treatment and prognosis, we are running this fundraiser. All of you are warmly welcomed to come forward and contribute to this fundraiser help us through this rough patch of time.

Dr. Vivek Radhakrishnan, baba’s principal doctor and his team are extremely hopeful for his recovery. They have been giving us positive guidance and clear directions for his treatment, which gives us positive expectations.

All respective documents, prescriptions, bills etc will be made available to well wishers for due diligence if they want to go through them.

Thank you for hearing us out.
