The slowdown in daily cases has been mainly due to strict lockdown, however it has brought many challenges to people’s lives and livelihoods.

A two-way strategy is adopted to focus on prevention and responsive action.
Prevention measures to contain the further spread of virus focus on:
- Awareness campaign about the preventive measures
- Disseminating relevant and accurate information through COVID Help Desk
- Vaccination drive.
- Mental Health counseling for children, COVID-affected people, and their family members, special counseling session for COVID positive children
- Dry ration support provision to the PwDs, un-assisted elder citizens, Covid-19 positive patients, construction workers & domestic workers, Families of rescued children
- Nutritional food support to children of poor households
- Study material support to children in communities
- Support kit for underage migrant workers found at railway stations trying to return home
- Facilitating access of vulnerable families through entitlements (Inclusion under food security scheme, Livelihood support, Entitlements under Pension schemes & Aid & Appliances support to PwDs)
