Winters in North India are harsh and can be life-threatening for people who do not have a roof above their heads. Hundreds of people, including women, children, and elderly persons live on the streets, battling the harsh cold in order to just survive.

Last week, we took a stroll around Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh at night and met many people who did not even have enough blankets to protect themselves from the cold. Some of them mentioned that as if this year wasn't already hard enough, it also feels much colder.

Immediately, it was decided that we had to do something. At the very least, we urgently needed to provide blankets to the homeless community of Saharanpur and therefore, we are starting this fundraiser with the hopes of saving lives from the ruthless North-Indian winter months.
