3-month-old Himanshi is suffering from a severe case of Spina Bifida. It is a congenital disability in which a baby's spinal cord fails to develop properly while a child is in the mother's womb. It causes protruding spinal cord tissue leading to hunched back, nerve injury, or paralysis. Doctors recommend a surgery costing lakhs to close the defect.

Little Himanshi was just 15 days old when she developed a fever, and her condition started turning worse with time. Initially, she had a small pimple on her back, which later became bigger. And her parents were in shock when doctors informed her that she was suffering from a severe spine defect.

Little Himanshi is carrying the burden of a ball size cyst on her small back. Her spine is unable to bear this pain and burden. She is unable to lie on her back peacefully. She always has to sleep on her side. She can't even express her pain. It affects her brain, and there are chances of paralysis in the future. It is a semi-liquid cyst that can burst anytime. Therefore she needs immediate surgery.
