Help Priyanka Joshi fight Aplastic Anaemia (Hypo Plastic Anaemia)

My name is Dharmesh Patel and am setting this fundraiser for our housemaid Priyanka Joshi (nicknamed Asha).

About her she worked as a housemaid in Marol Andheri Area of Mumbai and lives with her husband/son and daughter. Her husband works as a supervisor in a FMCG company.

She has been recently diagnosed with Hypo Plasto Anaemia , kind of rare degenerative disorder where bone marrow stops or reduces production of RBC/WBC and other blood cells. Since last 4 months her blood reports show continous decrease in blood cells triggering reduced immunity. This makes her susceptible to all types of infectious diseases. And drops her survival rate in coming 5 years if the condition is not treated effectively.

As per the consulted haematologist there are three type of treatments for this cause
1) medicines - approx cost 4 to 5lacs per year (chances to recover 40%)
2) ATG injection THERAPY - approx cost 8 to 10lacs (one time treatment) (chances to recover 65%)
3) bone marrow therapy - approx cost 10 to 15 lacs (chances to recover 80%) this treatment like blood relative donate bone marrow to patient.

Her family has opted for ATG Injection therapy since it is one time and are presently trying to accumulate 10 lacs INR of corpus.

NOTE 1: Patients financial condition is already stressed and  due to lack of accumulated corpus of 10 lacs, her family is unable to get her admitted to the consulted doctors hospital. Whatever amount is accumulated till date is getting spent in routine medicines further decreasing the overall corpus.

NOTE 2: Her BLOOD REPORT and HOSPITAL PROVIDED COST SHEET are attached here for everyones scrutiny.

Requesting all people to contribute whatever possible amount so that she can get admitted to the hospital for ATG Injection therapy.

Hello All,This is to share some good news at the end of the tunnel.
Priyanka Joshi had been undergoing medicinal treatment for Aplastic Anaemia. Family had consulted a govt hospital (Holy Family Marol Hospital) Haemotologist in April 2019 and she had suggested to first try medicinal approach to check if her platelet counts increase to manageable level.

For initial 3-4 months her platelet counts stuck to almost the same level  (May -35, June - 55, July - 35, Aug/Sep - 76).

Her brother and I had almost concluded to join the injectional treatment suggested earlier. By Gods grace medicines have shown a huge improvement during September month , her platelet counts have increased to level of 78. Also WBC count have rose to 5500 (in range). (attached image above).

She is still on recovery stage as platelet counts need to atleast reach 125 and needs your wishes to get fully healthy. She has conveyed a lot of thanks and gratitude to all of you had donated. Note: The amount donated is been wisely used by her family for medicinal expenses. (which around 50K per month).

Thanks,
Dharmesh (campaign owner)

Dear Supporters,

Here's a quick update:

Per last update from his brother - Hemant , Priyanka Joshi is doing good and recent blood reports (done in June first week) show blood platelet improvement from 25 to 35. This has to be 125 for a normal healthy person. Medication is showing improvement but albeit slow and not guaranteed how much time it can take. Family members are going to take a decision to opt for ATG injection therapy within next 2 weeks. They are currently in dilemma whether to continue for medication (45-50K per month) vs ATG Injection (10 lacs one time - which is big amount for them).

Medication can take upto a year to improve while ATG injection can take min 3months. Family members are expected to take a decision in next 2-3 weeks for ATG injection therapy.

Contribution done by all members has helped the family in maintaining their expenses of medication and blood transfusion so far.
