Helplife has started a new project in collaboration with Gits it’s called “Providing Cleaner Environmentally Friendly Option – A Happier Menses” .The project aims to provide livelihood to underprivileged women through being employed at a low cost sanitary pad making machine set up in a sustainable manner.
We are currently supporting 19 girls for their accommodation, education, travel, medical and mess/grocery expenses. These girls come from rural underprivileged background. When they enter Helplife, they have a lot of vitamin and mineral deficiencies and also low haemoglobin count. We first focus on their health and nutritional needs in order for them to build their physical capacity/stamina for them to become independent citizens in society. These girls are residing in 3 different flats around NIBM Road.
