Compassion Contagion is a collective of artists and activists that has been recording acts of compassion during the pandemic through art, graphic narratives and collages.

In these trying times, when our nation is gasping for breath, compassionate individuals and organizations, like always, are going out of their way to help us breathe, grieve, heal and give us courage and hope.

We, at Compassion Contagion, are collaborating with various artists to raise funds for many such organizations and individuals who are doing some extraordinary relief work.

One such organization is Hasiru Dala,  a social impact organization in Bengaluru that focuses on securing social justice for waste-pickers.  An already severely marginalized group made up mostly of women, children, and Dalits, they have been pushed to the brink in the pandemic. Despite having to continue their work through the lockdowns, they have had little to no financial, medical or welfare protection.

Hasiru Dala is providing food, medical and livelihood support to 6000 affected waste-pickers and supporting children whose families are impacted by COVID-19.

To support their work, we are selling a pack of eight hand-painted postcards ‘Love you Bengaluru’  by watercolor artist and urban sketcher Seema Misra.

The postcard pack of 8 (size: 6 by 4) will be couriered to you when the lockdown ends and the Covid situation is under control.

70% of the profits will go to Hasiru Dala.
30% to the contributing artist

Your contribution will help Hasiru Dala in providing :

1.    Ration kits: 10 kg rice, 2kg dal, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg salt, tea powder, chilli powder, oil, soaps, and masks. Each kit costs them about 1200, to buy, assemble and dispatch.

2.    Medical and sanitation kits for families with Covid+ members: Generic medicines and nutrition supplements, disinfectants, hygiene products, childcare products, patient care products, etc. and cost of medical assistance and services.

3.    Additional support: Doctor assistance and medical support, awareness-building, and hygiene training with the community at large.

4. Child Care and support for children whose both parents have been affected by COVID and require additional support to see themselves through these troubled times.
