December has come. It is the season of giving and sharing. This Christmas and New Year share your happiness with kids who do not share that privilege.
Happy Landings India (HLI) is an organisation into educating students in the field of Aviation . We have done workshops for more than 4000 students till date for aeromodeling and this has been more for the affluent section. We were always distressed by the fact that we are not able to do the same for those who cannot afford it.
We have now decided to take this up as a mission this year end to take Aeromodelling to 1000 students who are from humble backgrounds and who find it difficult to take this course up. We would be offering them a course on Aeromodelling, help them build a Model Aircraft and also give them T Shirts and Caps for the New Year.
We have estimated this to cost about Rs 2000/- per child. This will cover the workshop cost that we will be conducting for these kids along with the gifts that we are giving them.
I know most of you might think what would this help with. We at HLI feel , that the biggest crime that is happening today in the world is the snuffing out of dreams. Students from economically weaker sections do not get exposed to the possibilities life has to offer and thus end up with low end jobs or lose track of life and end up where they are not supposed to. Inspiring these kids and showing them a new way will definitely change their life and how their future will look like.
So this time you can make a difference by being a part of this and if you are in Bangalore you can volunteer as well.
