Mr.Hari is well known to Mr.Shravan(Lifeboat Foundation Trust's trustee) Mohana Krishnan aged 15, eldest son of Mr.Hari is diagnosed with severe condition of Optic neuritis from the age of 13.
Krishna is a studious boy who is very fond of linguistic studies. He has excelled in all the fields right from academics to dance to painting and elocution competition. He has scored around 85% on average in all his school years. He has completed graduate level exams in Hindi from Prathmic to Visharath Uthrarath.
When Krishna was 13 years of age he was admitted to Kanchi Kamakoti Hospital due to problem of decreased vision in his left eye. Dr.Vishwanathan diagnosed that he has optic neuritis because of which his vision has started to reduce. He was admitted for 5 days and the doctors put him on injection Methylprednisolone and oral steroids for 4 weeks to improve his eyesight. But to their dismay, Krishna's condition worsened and he has lost almost all his vision in both his eyes by the time he became 15 yrs old.
They have consulted with all the reputed eye hospitals in Chennai like Kanchi kamakoti hospital, Child trust Hospital, Shankara Netralaya, Vasan Eyecare. Allopathy doctors said that there is nothing more that can be done to improve Krishna's present vision.
At last, they have found Dr.Valan Vetri Chezhiyan who is a renowned Acupuncturist. He has guaranteed that Krishna's condition can be improved with continuous acupuncture and traditional Siddha medicine. His acupuncture session along with Varma(traditional Kerala massage therapy) alone costs 1000 per day and the medicines which are traditionally hand-made by Dr.Valan costs up to Rs.23000/month. The treatment has dried up all of Mr.Hari's personal savings and has pushed him to a debt of 10 Lakh Rupees.
Mohana Krishnan is truly talented and would have fulfilled his potential if not for his sight loss. It is extremely disheartening that a child for no fault of his, has to suffer due to lack of financial assistance.
Lifeboat Foundation Trust vouches for the authenticity of the request. We sincerely implore you to find the graciousness in your heart to help this deserving family.
