The Village of P Kottalla near Puttaparthy in Andhra Pradesh which has a population of 200 people and is cut off to nearest inhabited land by 35 km with no proper roads. The village has no proper Sewage Facility or Bathrooms, no drinking water system, and no medical facility, it thrives on local vegetation.

Proposed to 
Make available Sewage Facility, Bath and Washroom - the village has two distinct community geographies- Cost of building washrooms is approx 12,000 each. Planning to build 3 to 4 washrooms at each end covering the two communities (8 washrooms giving privacy for the 100 odd womenfolk) - INR 1 lac

Borewell System complete with associate pipeline and handpumps proposed to cover 2 to 3 locations (more if so required) - this work of actually setting up borewell systems and hand pipes will depend on the survey results of nearest water ground table. The estimated cost is INR 1.25 Lacs including Borewell, Handpumps, Water pipelines, storage tanks, washing facility and water holding facility at 4 to 5 points. Depending upon the area locations, community kitchen would be considered.  

There are two old temples which two communities are religiously connected to. These have to rephased and sanctum sanctified and handed over to the Village folk. Civil works, sanctum, and religious supplies will be provided. INR 25,000

The existing cowshed has been changed to a classroom. This has to be upgraded to a decent minimal healthy environment building an additional classroom. INR 40,000

Self-sustained training on cottage industry or skilled products including making phenyl, making candles, making incense sticks, stitching and tailoring and other similar basic cottage materials for the first 12 months, connecting them to nearest market supply system, training them on trading and making physical distribution etc. Expected cost - INR 1.60 lacs over a period of 6 months to 1 year.

Cost of dress materials, playthings and basic educational materials for 35 children - INR 70,000.

Training on Women Hygiene and Supply of Materials for Women and Hands-on support from Oja's group from Party to hands-on for the whole village- INR 40,000

We are taking the initiative of buying carrying and supplying materials to the village along with volunteering team for 4 days initially and one of the teams to hands-on support for 6 to 12 months will be provided. The cash with self n  collected and from our funds by us is not being considered.

Borewell water, Train people on making cottage works such as making cleaning acids, small handicrafts, stitching, and tailoring, etc and comment to a sellers point, provide basic children education and basic medical dispensary.

The funds will be used over 7-8 months. In the first two months, wash and sewage with drinking water facility proposed.
And thereafter basic plus improvised education for little children in next two months and then lastly
Rural development towards sustainable living mechanisms and empowering them towards learning, basic trade and commercial means for survival.
