Story
Over 43 lakh people across 30 districts out of the 33 districts of the state have been affected by the floods, spread across 4,157 villages in the ASSAM state. More than 83,000 people evacuated from the flood affected areas have been accommodated in 183 relief camps across the states.
As per the Forest officials nearly 95 per cent of the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is submersed under water , Animals could be seen emerging out to escape drowning.
The funds raised here will be used to distribute food packets, Biscuits,Bottled water, rice, dal, salt, mosquito net, Sanitary Napkins , food/Fruits for Animals and other Essential items. Also conduct medical camps in the worst affected areas of Assam.
