Close to 90% of the children in high schools are totally unaware of the career opportunities after they pass out 10th class and come out of school campus.There is so much world other than medicine and engineering. But this is not conveyed properly at school level.
The current education system is more concerned about scoring marks and grades and there is hardly any concern about life skills, goal setting and career guidance for children at school level.
End of the day, all these issues demotivate the children to loose selfconfidence and hence they are not able to work towards goal setting and realizing their own dreams. This results in increased rate of unemployment and hence overall dip in the net productivity of our country.

Proposed Solution – Project Sethu
Project Sethu is designed to address the issue of Career Guidance and Employment Opportunities since there is absolutely no place for Career Counselling in regular academic curriculum. The programme is designed to provide students the required motivation towards self-awareness and then to explore on career options best suited to their interest and talent. PCT-Sethu team will continue to support the students in future with any specific guidance required while pursuing higher studies.
Project Cost
The estimated cost to support 2000 school children across 20 schools is 495000/-
This would come around 250/- per student.
