My father who has been suffering from asthma from a very long time, started facing breathing issues which was diagnosed as gulla in lungs. It was removed using Laproscopy..  

But just a couple of days after the surgery, he became extremely weak and had to be admitted to the hospital again. After a few days of examination, it's been found that he is suffering from Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS). It is a very rare infection where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy nerve cells, causing weakness, numbness, and tingling and can eventually cause paralysis.

 It is also detected that only 50% of his heart is functioning and needs angiogram to check if any blockage in the heart is present. But the treatment for the heart can be started only after the syndrome is cleared.  

The treatment for curing the syndrome requires high doses of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) to be injected and the cost estimation is 3.76 Lakhs for 5 days.  

IVIG is a treatment made from donated blood that contains healthy antibodies. These are given to help stop the harmful antibodies damaging your nerves. IVIG is given directly into a vein.
