I got selected for a life-changing journey called Jagriti Yatra from among 17000+ applicants. It is the longest train journey in the world - first conceived in 2008 as Azaad Bharat Rail Yatra to build capacities and bring opportunities to some of the most beautiful but underfunded places in the world: Middle India.

I will travel almost 8000 km in those 15 days, exploring the length and breadth of what this beautiful country has to offer, along with 450 other participants handpicked from all over the world. These are artists, entrepreneurs, students - all passionate changemakers, just crazy enough to believe they can bring about the change they wish to see in the world.

The idea of spending 15 days closeted in a train while surrounded by some of the brightest minds in the world is both thrilling and terrifying. It is vastly outside of my comfort zone, which is one of the major reasons is pushing me to apply. It will allow an almost unheard-of networking opportunity with like-minded people, to learn from their mistakes, to inspire and be inspired, to understand what’s happening around the world outside of my four walls.

Unfortunately, the total fees for this journey are Rs. 97,000. After receiving a Level 2 scholarship I am required to pay Rs. 39,000. Since I am student, I am a part of the fees out of my savings and I would be intensely grateful for any support you can show me.
