These are unprecedented times – the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is causing more disruption across India than the first wave, viciously attacking right now when we are trying to recoup, recover and rebuild. The worst-hit are the poor– reeling from the pandemic’s attack – struggling to fight disease, deprivation, and death.

THE ACUTE SITUATION:

Heart-rending scenes are unfolding in the hospitals as low-income daily-wage poor families are struggling to cope with the loss of their beloved ones on one hand, and fighting for survival, unable to find square meals a day as their livelihoods take a hit, on the other.

The most marginalised communities in states of India like Bihar– rickshaw-pullers, slum dwellers, the disabled and elderly, the widowed and their children – all need your URGENT HELP as the pandemic spreads like a wildfire to the innermost corners.

Families of COVID-19 patients who have traveled from remote corners of Bihar to government hospitals across Patna, and struggling for a square meal a day, unable to afford or even avail food during the lockdown.

HOW YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL HELP:

1. Nutritious home-made quality 5000 cooked meals to COVID affected families in various government hospitals in Patna, Bihar during lockdown. Rs 100 per meal x 250 per day = Rs 25,000 x 20 days = Rs 5,00,000
2. 25-kg dry rations (comprising rice, wheat flour, pulses, salt, oil, spices, potatoes, masks, and sanitisers etc) to 1000 ultra-poor families in Patna - Rs 1000 x 1000 = Rs 10,00,000
