Story

My friend Gopi, T has been a strong fighter since birth. He had been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy since his childhood and his body is disabled by 70% compared to a normal human body. He hails from the town of Tirupathi, located in Andhra Pradesh, India and he is the only son to a daily wage construction worker. His legs are severely impaired which makes him limp and his weakened hands make even everyday tasks much more difficult to perform. His speech is also incoherent and impaired due to which he is unable to communicate for the sake of any job.

Even through his adversities, this high spirited individual seeking to be independent financially, pursued and earned an MBA degree at the age of 25. After the completion of his studies, he had been doing multiple odd jobs like office assistant, shop assistant etc... where he faced extreme discrimination due to his disability.

Until the pandemic hit, he managed to survive with the meagre income that he earned. However, due to the Pandemic he was rendered jobless and his health conditions have also deteriorated irreversibly. The doctors have diagnosed serious defects in his spinal cord which is now hampering his movement, thus requiring him to be at rest most of the time. He is also in requirement of medication which costs him about Rs.12000/- a month to be able to bear the pain arising out of his bodily condition.

My name is Karthik and Gopi was always my classmate and friend since childhood. After much consideration and discussion with his aged mother, I'm seeking your help to raise sufficient funds to support his livelihood and treatment for the foreseeable future.video
