The 70 Gond tribal community families are migrated to Latur in 1995 in search of work and they finally settled at Vaishali Nagar, Latur. They have been living in jhuggi-jhopdi since last 25 years.
Every year they have to repair their juggi-jhopadi before rainy season otherwise water oozes in their home leaving everyone there wet for months but this year they don't have single rupee for this and we all know rainy season is approaching but the problem doesn't stop here, they majorly earn their livelihood by selling Indian spices in markets but due to covid, there has been extreme lockdown and markets are completely closed due to which they have lost their livelihood. They literally don't have money to even fulfill their basic food purchase.
SEWD (Society for Equity with Dignity) organization working in this region for last 10 years and NGO has already provided ration kits to people in the first wave.
Organization has also provided masks and sanitizers during second wave but now we need some help through funding in order to fulfil their hunger problem at least.
We, members of this organization truly urging you all from bottom of our heart with folded hands that please do your bit. Their life depends on you.
Small or big, doesn't matter. Every penny counts. We will always remain grateful for your co-operation and more than us, you will remain in those people's blessings forever. Please help, if you could. Thank You.
