Dear friends,
This fundraiser is set up to help cover the cost of medical expenses for George and his family.
George is just 42 years old and was leading a peaceful life in the quaint town of Kanyakumari (Tamilnadu, India). He is full of life and was actively driving to organise 25-year reunion for our classmates from middle school in February 2021.
He is married with two kids of 6 years and one year (11 months to be precise!)
Persistent pain in the abdomen made him visit the doctor, completely unaware of what was in store for him.
Long story short - He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer (stage 2) and was recommended immediate surgery.
He braved the battle and underwent emergency surgery on the 16th February. Even though he lost weight dramatically (he weighs only 30 kilos) and physically weak, he is recovering well.
He has a good chance of survival provided his ailment is treated in time. Treatment is surgery (already completed) followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

- He was drawing a monthly salary of 20k per month, with no savings and no insurance
- Five lacs spent on urgent surgery with help from close friends and loans
- Another ten lacs for the rest of the year towards treatment (involving Chemotherapy, and Radiotherapy)
- This contribution is to let the family of four sail through the crisis without losing heart.
